Bersant Celina scored twice and Macauley Bonne and Wes Burns once each as the Blues came from behind to win for the first time this season as they defeated Wycombe 4-1 at Adams Park, ending the Chairboys’ 100 per cent home league record. David Wheeler gave the home side the lead on 17 but Town hit back with Celina’s first 10 minutes later. Bonne made it 2-1 with his 11th of the season six minutes after the restart and Burns added the third on the hour, before Celina added the fourth in injury time to add the icing to a brilliant Town victory over one of the sides making the early season running. |

James Norwood scored twice, once from the spot, and later missed another penalty as Town’s long wait for goals came to an end as they won 2-1 at Swindon. Norwood, captaining the Blues on his return to the side, put Town ahead on 44 with his first spot-kick, Town’s first goal in 663 minutes, then added a second in the 58th minute. Brett Pitman pulled one back for the already-relegated Robins on 71 before Norwood spurned the opportunity to score his first Town hat-trick via a second penalty but manager Paul Cook wasn’t to be denied his inaugural Blues away win. |

James Norwood and Alan Judge were on target for the Blues but two goals from Diallang Jaiyesimi and a stunner from Scott Twine saw Swindon to a 3-2 victory over the Blues at Portman Road. Jaiyesimi gave the visitors the lead on 16 before sub Norwood levelled for the Blues in the 62nd minute, but Twine smashed home a brilliant 30-yard strike on 67 to restore the Robins’ lead and Jaiyesimi made it 3-1 with a cross which found its way into the net seven minutes later. Judge gave the Robins a fright with Town’s second in the 87th minute but the Blues, who stay eighth, were unable to find a third goal against the division’s 22nd-placed side. |
